Q: Are my salary/income inputs stored or shared?
A: No. All calculations happen in your browser using JavaScript. The numbers you enter never leave your device. We don’t collect, store, or transmit your calculator inputs to our servers.
Q: How often is the data updated?
A: We update our salary and income data quarterly when new BLS and Census Bureau releases are available. The most recent update date is shown on the homepage.
Q: Why doesn’t my percentile match other calculators?
A: Different calculators use different data sources and comparison groups. We use official BLS and Census data. Other sites may use self-reported data, outdated information, or different demographic filters.
Q: Can I use your calculator for commercial purposes?
A: Our calculator is free for personal use. For commercial or business use (HR departments, consulting firms, etc.), please email us to discuss licensing.
Q: Do you have an API or downloadable dataset?
A: Not currently. We’re considering API access for developers. If you’re interested, email us at contact@percentilecalculator.us to express your interest.
Q: Can you add [specific occupation/location] filtering?
A: We’re always looking to improve our calculators. Email us your specific feature request and we’ll consider it for future updates.
Q: The calculator isn’t working on my device. What should I do?
A: Try clearing your browser cache and refreshing the page. Make sure JavaScript is enabled. If the issue persists, email us with your device and browser details.

We aim to respond to all emails within 2-3 business days. During busy periods, it may take up to 5 business days. Complex technical questions may require additional time to investigate.
